Greener travels
As travel and nature lovers we believe that sustainable tourism must be practiced and advocated by all of us travelers. Although there are more and more people concerned about the protection of the environment, there are still powerful forces that seek short term profit over the conservation of our natural resources. While the ever-underfunded scientists do what they can to study the many ways humans impact our ecosystems and come up with strategies to protect them, legislators take too long to respond to the rapidly changing social trends. It’s up to us, the travelers, to educate ourselves and practice sustainable tourism. In this section we try to offer a window into the conservation efforts of many amazing organizations and individuals.
